Open to high school students aged 15–19 in Nepal with a passion for rural development, social work, and community improvement. Applicants should have demonstrated initiative in local projects or volunteering and be willing to spend 4–6 hours weekly on action projects. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are essential. Commitment to a 3–6 month program is required.
IRD fellowship connects youth with local development initiatives to enhance living conditions in rural communities. Fellows work on projects such as sanitation, education, and infrastructure improvements while guided by experienced mentors. The program combines hands-on fieldwork, workshops on social development, and reflective sessions to build leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Participants gain a deep understanding of community challenges and practical experience in designing and implementing solutions that have tangible impacts on rural populations.
